Getting There
Porto is easily accessible from across Europe and beyond, with efficient transport links connecting the airport, city centre, and congress venue.
By Air
Porto International Airport (Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport) is located approximately 15 km from the city centre and offers direct flights to many major European hubs, as well as selected intercontinental routes.
By Metro
The Porto Metro provides a simple and reliable connection from the airport to the city.
- Line E (Purple Line) runs directly from the airport to the city centre
- Journey time: approximately 25–30 minutes
- Key central stops include Trindade and Bolhão
For the Congress Venue
The nearest metro stations are:
- São Bento — Line D / Yellow Line
- Trindade — multiple lines interchange
From either station, the Alfândega do Porto Congress Centre is approximately 20–25 minutes on foot, or a short taxi/ride-share journey of 5–10 minutes.
By Train
- São Bento Station — centrally located and known for its iconic tiled interior; serves regional routes
- Campanhã Station — the main station for national and international trains, including high-speed connections from Lisbon
Both stations are a short taxi or metro journey from the congress venue.
By Taxi or Ride Share
Taxis and ride-sharing services, including Uber and Bolt, are widely available.
- Airport to city centre: approximately 20–25 minutes
- City centre to venue: approximately 5–10 minutes
This is often the most convenient option when travelling with luggage.
By Foot
