Béatrice Cochener-Lamard
Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Eucornea board, I am delighted to invite you to join us at our 15th Eucornea Congress. We are happy to be hosting the 3rd stand-alone Eucornea Congress in Paris from 24 – 26 May this year.
After the success of Athens in 2022 and Barcelona in 2023, Paris has been selected as the 2024 venue which couldn’t please me more during my time as the French President of Eucornea! Paris, ready to host the Olympic Games in June, will be at the height of its beauty in May. The Sorbonne district, where the meeting will take place, is in the heart of the city, easy to access and allowing you to easily combine attending the Congress along with touristic pleasures. Don’t miss this opportunity to get back to a face-to-face Congress in the City of Lights!
Eucornea is now an academic society, bringing together medical and surgical European cornea specialists. Since its birth in 2010, Eucornea has worked in close collaboration with ESCRS to organise the always popular Cornea Day. The addition of a stand-alone Congress in spring-time makes it possible to offer 2 full days dedicated to all aspects of the cornea, with an educational programme based on didactic courses, exchanges of experience around clinical cases, interactive free papers and expert keynotes as well as networking opportunities.
But above all, Eucornea has established itself as the representative society for cornea in Europe in the eyes of the industry, whose support of this event we are very grateful for; and of sister international societies, who contribute their invaluable collaboration at the various symposia. It has become an arena where technological and therapeutic innovations are presented, and new ideas debated.
Thanks to Cornea Society of US, PanCornea Society from South America, Asia Cornea Society and International Keratoconus Society ISK, for responding to our invitation and contributing their expertise, in particular by coming together to discuss advances in keratoconus.
We have put together a programme that answers the questions of daily practice, updates scientific knowledge and opens the door to new perspectives in the field of medical and surgical cornea.
The abstract deadline has now passed. Thank you to so many of you for submitting your abstracts – we are looking forward to reviewing them and will be in contact with all authors in March. Registration and hotel bookings are already open on the Eucornea website.
We hope that all the ingredients are in place to make Eucornea 2024 an unmissable event in your calendar. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
With my very best wishes
Beatrice Cochener-Lamard
